Video: Ruby Suns – “Kingfisher Call Me”

We already wrote about “Kingfisher Call Me” when the Ruby Suns announced their album and made the track available for download. Now, the band has released a video for the track. To accompany the 80s infused synth-based track, Frode & Marcus (Lykke Li, El Perro Del Mar) have created a video that features a mountain man sort of character that does what mountain men do–diggin’ holes, findin’ water, excavating the remains of old Nissan Pathfinders. The directors actually refer to the character as an “earth-hardened Scandinavian immigrant in the forests of Minnesota, during mid 19th century.” Either way, it’s a pretty surreal yet captivating visual component. Watch it above. Christopher is out January 29th on Sub Pop.
