LCD Soundsystem Shares Two New Tracks from Upcoming Album

Some days you wake up to an ever darkening American paradigm. And some days you wake up to LCD Soundsystem releasing two brand new songs from their first album in 7 years, due out later in 2017. And sometimes those songs are about an ever darkening American paradigm and/or the darkness within our own human existence. James Murphy gets pretty bleak on both “American Dream” and “Call the Police,” but both songs sounds as beautiful as ever. “American Dream,” with its rattling synths in restrained 3/4 time and steady echoing snaps, is a goodnight slow dance for the American spirit, while “Call the Police” comments on social divides and delivers the melodic prowess and driving beats for which the band is known. LCD Soundsystem plays SNL on Saturday. Stream “American Dream” and “Call the Police” below.
