Temples ACL Late Night Show: Live Review

Despite having seen Temples on four occasions, Saturday night was my first time to see the group in a small venue when they played a show at The Parish as part of ACL’s late night series. I’ve always considered their live show a tight and sonically impressive performance, but the intimate club environment revealed a new side of the the British glam rockers’ sound. The four-piece delivered crunchier, more foreboding sounds than I’ve ever heard them produce, benefitted by the smaller space. Without compromising the easy grooves and rolling riffs, Temples had the walls and floors of the Parish shaking something fierce. With the bands increasing popularity, it’s unlikely you’ll get a chance to see them in a small setting such as this, but if the opportunity presents itself, don’t miss it. Check out a few more photos of the show below.
